New China in St. Pete Beach

Place is filthy. We are locals. Doors and windows and back area not very clean at all. Lady who takes the orders, so unfriendly. Food is terrible! Always taste old and meat taste odd. My stomach hurt last time after eating here. Would not recommend.

If I could leave no stars I would, they don't have chopsticks....but the food is terrible. Strange taste in both dishes, took two bites and it went into the garbage. We will NOT GO BACK.

Food was ok but they are Way over priced for a Chinese takeout. They literally charged for everything, like the fortune cookie that's supposed to come with the meal and the noodles that come with the wonton soup. And the soup or egg roll that's supposed to come with the lunch special is extra. I guess it because of its location they feel they can charge so much.

I really can't find a single negative thing to say about my experience. Excellent service. Good food and very nice environment. Would definitely recommend people coming here. Not too bad for fast good. I will be back soon. Just wish it was all-you-can-eat buffet. That would be amazing. One best place in town happy family a happy life

I went last night for a pick up the Chinese lady gave me no eye contact charged me gave me my food as fast as I put my phone in my back pocket she quickly left into the kitchen no bye no thank you nothing at all I called her and the male person that was there he turns to her they exchanged a few words and I yelled for them again and they both ignore me at this point I just looked at them and left....All I wanted was to order another large shrimp fried rice :,( it was so hurtful to experience such a thing I was blown away I believe she probably thought I was going to complain about something but there was no reason to I had just walked in there so sad they will no longer be a part of my food ordering list I work hard for my money to give to someone so nasty I’m the type to support my community but I’m not supporting hers

Ordered vegetable lo main and got the veggies without the noodles and it looked like soup, asked for plates since we were taking it to the beach and they gave us 2 plates for a big order, food was kind of okay hence the 1 star. Don’t be deceived people, will never eat there again. Very poor service.

The food is always delicious. I love their wonton soup the most.

The food was excellent, but the customer service stinks. The women who took our order forgot one whole meal so while we were eating my husband had no food. She did remember to charge me for it and then she charged me again for the same meal, also wanted to charge me for for an extra tea, and then had the to gall to argue about it, I let it drop because I was so hungry and my family was becoming upset. We finished our meal and she comes out again and begins to argue with me again, when I asked her to leave my table she continued to argue and raise her voice. I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS STORE OR ANY LIKE CHAIN!!!

I ordered Roast pork Mei Fun for $12.95!! I ordered the mei fun without veggies and onions. I received my mei fun w veggies and onions!! I called to get another order of mei fun sent to me. I was told to pick out the veggies myself!!!!!!! Stay away from this place!!!

Ordered lunch to go and it was terrible. The Mu Shu had no pancakes, which is sort of the point of the meal. When we let the owner know he said he forgot them and would give us an eggroll next time. Gee thanks. Once home the food was really not good. We ended up throwing out the whole meal. The place was dirty with no-one in it as well as overpriced. NOT GOOD!

Most awful Chinese. Food tasted very old and looked extremely unappetizing. I didn’t look at the reviews before ordering and I wish I had...

I ordered a side of chicken fried rice and hunan chicken through uber eats. The rice was not freshly prepared and was hard. The chicken was not cooked properly and tasted gamey or slimy. I gag even now to think about it. Additionally the food had zero of the delicious flavors of chinese food. I received a refund for my order and would never recommend this restaurant.

Came here for a quick bite to eat and I forever will regret it. For one, the older lady had a really bad attitude and I felt unwelcome and off, The rice looks good but it didn’t have much taste as well as the meat, the sauce on the chicken looked burned and didn’t taste very well, The shrimp egg rolls are TERRIBLE don’t eat them, an hour later I have a really bad stomach ache and I really wish I would have went else where. I always believe that a company can improve and this one definitely could use some pointers.

We three are snowbirds who come every year to the Greater Tampa area for one or two months. Good Chinese food is our favorite. We've had a lot of hits and misses on our trips. However, a few years ago, we discovered the New China Takeout located in Dolphin Village as we were shopping and decided to try it. I don't usually write reviews, but because it was so delicious and hot and tasty, I wanted to share with someone my good fortune of having found a great Chinese takeout. I always read reviews. They tell me a lot about a person's satisfaction with a product (or lack thereof). The owners are nice people who always give us good-sized portions of food, always fresh (highest quality) and made on the spot.Try it. I think you're gonna love it.

Portions are super tiny, like for a 1 year old. The place was empty when we arrived to get our food. Fortune cookies were stale. Guess it all goes together. There are other chinese restaurants nearby that are MUCH better options, and way better bang for your buck - I'd recommend Wong Lee Chinese Take-Out instead!

Staff was very cheap with chopsticks and hot mustard, the food had no taste. Probably the worst Chinese food experience of my life. The meat in the 3 dishes we ordered taste old. Should have read the other reviews before going.

Terrible and Rude!!!

My husband and I enjoyed a dinner at New China. We thought the prices were very reasonable. They are comparable to the prices at Chinese take outs in Ohio. The food was very tasty and plentiful. We decided to eat there. The place was clean. The server was dry friendly. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonable meal on Gulf Blvd.

On my own experienced the food was fine but the customer service are not that great ,it was so poor .The lady was really not friendly and it's look's like shes's mad at me for nothing.They should treat the customer nice.Because we paid for the price.

Thought the people who only gave one star were exaggerating, but they're not. The food is awful!

I had the worst Chinese food I ever tasted. I ordered chicken w vegetables. When I arrived home and opened the container it was beef. It smelled bad, tasted awful. I had to throw it away.The restaurant was empty at 6 p.m. on a weekend night.. I should have known.The lady was rude, I was overcharged and the service poor.This is so sad..If they put a little more effort into what they serve, and how they present, they could do well. I will never go back.

Better than the last 3 restaurants. Had the shrimp lomein and pork fried rice was very good. Shrimp ragoon was excellent

Worst Chinese Food Ever! Lomain has a strange taste (like old fish), the dumplings had some sort of chicken and veggies instead of the traditional pork filling, fried rice tasted burnt. The portions were good (we got the lunch special) and the egg roll was good, but everything else was so bad that we actually threw it away and went out for lunch someplace else. Total waste of $25

Prices average for takeout...10% surcharge added to bill to eat in the pictured area. My husband complained when we got home that his chicken tasted spoiled...the chicken I had was not coated and seemed fine. But as another reviewer pointed out: family sits out in small seating area eating. ????

Don’t waste your money. My Uber driver was great, the food was horrible. I ordered General Tsaos chicken and sesame chicken. The chicken was hard, stringy and chewy. I’ll never order here again.

Ate here, unfortunately, while on vacation. Nasty staff attitudes and even nastier food! So gross. Never again!

Came here on Christmas Day , was the only open place. The lady seemed very angry, although I can’t make any assumptions as to why. They could not seem to understand what people wanted based off their menu, which contradicted what they actually thought you wanted to order.The actual food was not that great, unfortunately. The rice was yellow and mushy and the chicken was NOT cooked well.I felt bad as this is still a small family running the business, so have some sympathy for them.

Horrible. No taste. At least it was hot. $45 for 2 meals. We just left and already feel sick.

Bought my food outside and waited for it. While waiting I noticed she took her mask off when she went into the kitchen... when we got our food we asked if their employees were wearing masks while making our food. She told me no but she washed her hands.... so 20$ of food in the trash.... not a safe place to go for food at all. When I called to ask more she told me “whatever!” And hung up. I’m absolutely appalled!

Got my take out food, noodles complete mush they dissolve in yours mouth, fried rice was yellow and also mush, beef was slimy and smelled funny. I eat a lot of Chinese take out and this is the first time i have actually felt so sick after. Instead of saving the leftovers for the next day, they all went in the garage. Oh and on an end note, the lady at the counter looked so miserable and was rude that it was the perfect end to a disgusting experience. Stay away and save your money!!

Horrible !!! they gave me and my girlfriend sodas that were over 1 year old very rude and the food was disgusting we didnt even eat it all !! STAY AWAY

Over priced food because of beach location. When I questioned why I had to pay $3.50 extra for fried rice with my orange beef dinner, the owner lady got rude. She argued with me that their prices were reasonable. However, most Chinese places offer white or fried rice with every meal for free. Also, Mongolian Beef and Orange Beef were terrible. Beef is not tender and pieces were thick. In addition, Crab Rangoon appetizer was all wrapper and they skimped on cheese. Basically, I wasted my time and money there. If you want to live the American dream in our country, cater to the American people!

Waited pretty long for the food. The lady handling my food had NO MASK like cmon there is a pandemic & her attitude was beyond unnecessary terrible. Getting to the food I ate a bite of the chicken and I told the lady the chicken tasted flavorless and just drowned in sauce and she said “oh well that’s how it comes” the rice was okay. I would never come back here again STAY AWAY.

Steamed dumplings and chick n low mane!!Just a couple great dishes on the menu. Always speedy too

I should have read the reviews before going to New China. The General Tso's Chicken was stringy, tasted like oil and had too many grizzly parts. The egg roll was ok. The pork fried rice had too much fat on the pork. The same was true for the egg foo young. I think the price is way too high for the quality of the food.
